• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We are leaving early on Wednesday, we are towing the spyder, we should be at the Microtel Inn around 6pm and we plan on leaving for home on Sunday the 16th. We are looking forward to attending Lamont's BBQ and SpyderPops installing Bajaron's sway bar on my RT. See you all there.

Leaving Saturday, June 8th on spyder and head up the east coast up to sister's place in Bufort, S.C. Then on up to as far north in Virginia, and enter Blue Ridge Pkwy. Spend night in Va. Sunday night and head toward Maggie Valley. Arrive in Maggie Valley on Tuesday. Attend Lamont's BBQ Saturday, and head towards home that late evening. Arrive in Sanford either Sunday or Monday.

Alternative: Using auto train, to get to Lorton, Va. Should leave Friday and hopefully arrive in Va. on Saturday. Take our leisurely time and smell the roses via Blue Ridge Pkwy to Maggie Valley. Arrive in Maggie Valley, Tuesday. The rest is the same.

All is contingent on trial schedule.

Maggie Valley Spyder Owner's Event

Who from Florida is going to the Owners Event?
When are you going and where are you staying.

Jan and I are going, and we're camping in our toy hauler, not sure which campground yet.

Gary and Jan Howe
N. Ft. Myers, FL

Just contacted auto train and found out that the cost for two people to travel via the train with spyder was $400.00. With that said I'll be opting for Plan A which is to ride up to the Beaufort, S.C. area and then truck it on up to as far north in VA. that I can get. Spend Sunday night in VA. and head down the Blue Ridge Parkway, Monday morning and arrive in Maggie Valley on Tuesday.

Ivor, that sounds like a fun time. Perhaps I should get on the BRP at Roanoke when coming to Maggie Valley, or can I go further North and get on?

Roanoke is a good place to start from.North of Roanoke it is only a couple of hours riding to the end of The BRP and where Shenandoah starts.
Its a great 2 day ride from Roanoke to Maggie Valley.Tons to stop, see and photograph.A good stop for the night is Boone. There is a good Country Inn &Suites there.Highlights on the way down is Moses Cone House,Linville Falls and Mt Mitchell.Go up the road to the top.Its well worth it.
