• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Really really looking forward to your review.

Might you share your height and inseam? I am 5' 8" 30" inseam.

Hoping for the best for you and your purchase .

I would love to get rid of BRPs blue ridge screen mounting system and have a shield/screen that redirects the wind properly.

If their screen works well I bet there will be allot of blue ridge screens for sale/laying around.

They rock!

I have Madstad on my Roadrod. Fantastic products! They work great, and look terrific! Robo brackets. Crazy adjustable, buffeting is history. No distortion, blows rain over your head, lowers for cooling breezes! If you ride any distance at all, get one. I need to have one made for my next bike. They are that good. Simply the best out there. Joe

Just about the same . . .

. . . . I am 5'7" with a 30" inseam.

As I said, I ordered the 20" shield - though the BR is 22" ( to the tips ). Having had one of their older units on my GS, that should be more than ample. I plan on keeping the BR for a spare - it shouldn't be a problem mounting it to the brackets and I have come to actually like it.

I saw in an other thread, you said your's moved and vibrated - I meant to PM you to check the installation because mine is rock solid.

The Madstad should get here sometime next week, I will post my experience then. I am curious about the side panels- unless they add a lot, I will probably pass on keeping those installed.

Also ordered mine yesterday

Hopefully will have it next week. Will post a review comparing it to the Blue Ridge after I get some miles on the Madstad (have had the Blue Ridge for 800 miles now.)

If all of what they say about the Madstad is true, this will be a major improvement. I have a half-helmet and with the Blue Ridge, I have to use a flip-up snap-on shield almost all the time because of the buffeting in my face. Haven't ridden the F3 in the rain and don't want to with the Blue Ridge.

Looking forward to the Madstad "fix."

I am 5'9", 29" inseam, they recommend 18, do you think that may be short?

I don't know . . . .

. . . . I was on the fence about that too, given the flexibility of height + angle + depth, in the past, many other buyers commented on how surprised they were by how much a smaller shield on the Robo-brackets gave them amazing protection.

For several ( personal and geographical ) reasons, I decided to go with the " Mama Bear " height option. If I find I need more, I can mount my BR on the brackets - that may not be optimal, but very serviceable.

I do think the 18" would look better and be more efficient when it comes to MPG and reducing the F3's wind resistance.

I will have a better feel for all that when I install and test it.

I had kind of hoped to see a review by the person that did the testing. There was an earlier post on SL with a couple of pictures. I sent them a PM but never got a response. Looking forward to your review Tom.

Looks very functional, but aesthetically it doesn't really do it for me, maybe a tinted screen,

My exact thoughts - dark grey tint - I'll probably take function (if it works with still being able to see over windshield ) over looks but may wait awhile to see if someone else comes up with function and looks to my liking.

Especially since my F3-S is soon going to dealer and will probably be there awhile (pebble grinding engine noise - as posted in another thread).

One size

. . . . I ordered mine, the 20", will post pictures and opinions when I get it.

Tom
Tom, is it one size only?
Im 5' 4", do you think that will be to tall?
I believe the problem with the BR is the cut on both sides, scooping the air in bad way.

18" for short (under 5'10"), 20" medium (5'11" to 6'1") and 22" tall riders (6'2" and up) respectively
