• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just put the Madstad adjustable windshield on my RS today along with the wind deflectors.. they make to keep your hands out of the wind...talk about a difference...These are 2 of the best mods I've put on my RS....^5 to Madstad for a couple great products....

hand deflectors

i also have the madstad windsheild mount on my 08 gs and it made a BIG improvment for ryding. i have the brp touring windsheild on. what do you have? am interested in adding hand sheilds if work with my windsheild

I went with Madstad's recommendation on the windshield...the 20" smoked version...I'm just about 5'10" and that's what they recommended for my height...the big advantage here is that you can adjust high/low, in/out/....angled.. until you find the sweet spot where the wind flys across the tip of your helmet...aerodynamics are pleasing to me and I don't know chit about engineering...I just know that my windshield is is tuned in...just feels right...The folks at Madstad came up with pretty good ideas...One other thing I like about the Madstad...and I don't quite know how to explain it....I just want folks to look at the windshield and go "WTF"...and then realise it's a great product...It definitely makes folks look twice at your windshield...which translates to another 10 minutes of explaining it's virtues to anybody that asks when you stop for gas...The offset to this theory is the fact that you don't need to explain anything to another Spyder Rider...It's all about mods...good people...new adventures without excuses why you can't do it...and the miles you should be putting on your Spyder...: We just became a 2 Spyder family....We bought Lynda's Screaming Purple Eater for Cindi....who happens to be an aggressive driver on her Ridley automatic now....We're selling her Ridley and now she wants high performance plugs and wires....thanks Ron...she's reading your entries....And I'm wondering how I took off on this little ramble....peobably the terific german white wine...Prost...to my fellow SpyderFriends...

Madstad does indeed make great products. I also have their windshield on my RS. With some assistance from Mark at Madstad I was even able to fit one onto my BRP SeaDoo. This boat comes without any windshield and before Mark and I came up with the RoboBracket fitment, no one had successfully mounted a windshield on this model boat before. Used it all summer and it works great.
