• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Madstad windscreen install issue

When replacing the brackets (2016 F3L) for this windscreen there are 4 bolts that you need to remove that hold the factory ones. Absolute stupid design, they are all secured by plastic which strips right out because of the thread lock they use at the factory. Anyone else had this issue? of course 3 came out but theres always one...
Looks like the entire dash panel would actually need to be replaced to fix this. ridiculous design. :banghead:

BRP AND THEIR USE OF THREAD LOCKER

:agree::agree::agree: ..........There have been many many posts on this topic recently concerning the newer Spyders .... it seems BRP has decided to go into the SELF-DESTRUCT MODE .... for this machine ......... The engineers have AGAIN fixed something that was NOT BROKEN ( ie the DESS module ). I have Spyders dating back to 08 and never had any issues with the Thread locker .... now everybody is pulling the Ferrules out ......WTF :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: ..... Mike

Just a really stupid design. I saw another post where the person left one bolt out so I drilled the head off and installed it with three for now. Actually super sturdy. I'll have to actually order a whole new dash piece which I'm sure is big bucks. Would it have killed them to just use lock washers????? Thread locker being supported by plastic is a no-go. Whoever did ours basically superglued it in.
