• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Madstad footrests - heat issues?

yup..............Spyderpops has a block off plate that many have installed with no reported problems? Go to the "home" page and click the link as he is a site sponser.

OK.. ordered the upper blockoff. Looks like that'll work. Thanks

Most likely have to do the same thing with mine.............just installed a set of Lamont's NBV Highway Pegs. Let us know how you make out and whether you notice a significant difference?

I put a set of Madstad footrests http://www.madstad.com/s.nl/sc.7/category.3580/.f on the wife's RT. Problem now is the right foot is getting blasted from the upper "vent" space. Is there a way of blocking off the heat without creating overheating issues with the engine?

OK... just got around to putting on the SpyderPops heat shield. Per the instructions, I removed the right floorpan. Doing this exposes a lot of stuff. Has anyone trimmed the floorpan rather than totally leaving it off? Pix or description would be helpful.

I took the pan off and used my holesaw to put 3 - 4" holes in the pan. I also drilled a couple of smaller ones and put it back on. We have ridden many days in the West Texas heat with no problems since then. Although I haven't heard or read anything about any problems just leaving it off either. Most people leave the left pan off to make for easier oil changes
