Madstad F3 Windshield Improvement

Today I visited Madstad Engineering at their request to have their new F3 windshield bracket installed. The original bracket allowed for windshield vibration to the point of distraction. I tested the new bracket for them with a hard ryde and find that it eliminates about 80% of the vibration, Making the windshield quite effective now. I was already satisfied with the price and protection provided by the shield. Nice to see a vendor who listens to customer feedback and takes action. They will now make an upgrade kit available to those who desire it.

Any mention of cost? My wife is not at all happy with the windshield shaking now!

I ordered my windshield from Madstad a week ago and it is supposed to ship on the 13th, or so. Is it safe to assume that I am going to get the upgraded bracket? That's a bonus, because I did not know they were improving the design.
BTW. They only talk about an 18, 20, and taller shield. They are making me a 16 inch shield because I'm a short guy, 5 ft 5 in.

My wife is using a 14" shield from them and it is a good height for her. Someone should start a chart of shield height vs body height for satisfied Madstad riders.

Called them this morning to get my name on the list. Said they would contact me when they have them ready and would let me know the price. Doesn't look like the cost will be zero. Might have to look at the f4 if they try to charge very much to fix what was wrong.

Madstad is an excellent vendor. Replacement my windshield for free because I was not happy with the height after having it for year! Great customer service.

I agree on being an excellent vendor. I have had 4 of their w/s and have one on my BMW also.
