• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Madstad dimensions

Mines in transit to me now, should have by end of week here in Canada, I'll be posting pics of it when it gets here. I'm 6'1" so I ordered the 20" screen.

Mine came in today . . . . .

. . . . I just got it installed, but it has been raining off and on all day ( at least no hail like yesterday! so far . . ).

I got the 20". I am 5'7". I doubt that I will ride much with it any higher than the lowest setting. The 18" probably would have been just fine. At the highest setting the 20" shield is well over my head. And even more when increasing the angle.

Still raining and getting dark, so I will do measurements and test rides tomorrow.

Just wondering how had it was to install the madstad windshield? I'm looking at an f3 but I definitely need a windshield.

. . . it was easy. ( mechanically inclined, but Klutzy)

Madstad has posted the install manual on their site. Sorry I don't have the specific link, but the site is Madstad.com .

Madstad width

Anyone have width of the Madstad shield for the F3?

Curious as to the height above the speedometer assembly as well.

A very approximatemeasurement with a stiff tape gives about 15" at the chord of the middle, and 13" at the chord of the top. The bottom of the shield lines up approx with the bottom of the instrument dials when it is at its lowest position, and the very top of the dials when at its highest position.

Ii got the 20" model. At low position IAM looking about 2" over the top of the shield, and high position, IAM looking through about 2" below the top of the shield. I am 5'9", the 18" shield was suggested, I got the 20". It works well. I think I might even consider the22" if I were buying today
.
again these are very approximate. I went out to the garage and measured due to a couple of the rude comments that you got to your thread. The appearance of the "H" supports of the bracket are different, but very polished and high quality. I think the Blue
Ridge was shaken my whole bike at times.
