Made the plunge!

:2thumbs: I've been watching this site since last fall and I really love it. Thanks Lamont for all your dedication to the :spyder: and to all the :spyder:lovers!! I'm a paraplegic and have been confined to a wheelchair for 35 years (came out of the Air Force in 1973 with back injury - 100% sevice connected.) At the time I wrote off a lot of things I really enjoyed before as things I would never be able to do again. Never is a long time! Thanks to BRP and to all of the mods you guys have posted, it looks like I will be riding again real soon. Last Thursday I went to my local dealer and purchased a Red 2009 SE5. They are going to be adding fog lights, 12v adapter, 4" risers, and Corbin front and rear saddles with two backrests. I've got a friend (engineer) who rides bikes and restores cars that has volunteered to the mods I need in order to be able to ride the :spyder:. He is going to use the hand brake mod posted by Nexus and a footboard mod similar to the one Sypderlady posted a few weeks ago. I contacted the welder that did Spyderladie's mod, but he is waiting to check on liabilities before he will sell the setup. That's too late for me so we'll do our own.
