Made it to San Diego

Glad you made it safe and sound and it looks like mom was truly happy to see you. Have a great stay.

Glad to hear you made it to California safely. I am sure your mom is happy to have you there for the visit as well. Have a good time, and a safe journey back home as well.

Yesterday I visited my friend Dennis that has the brain tumor. I was glad to see him but it wasn't the same Dennis I visited last year. He knew who I was at first but that was on and off, sometimes he called me Will and another time he thought I was his son Brian. He has no connection in his thoughts and they all seem to just run together as if 10 people were talking about different subjects and each one only said one sentence of what they were talking about. It was very sad and depressing. All I can say is cancer sucks. nojoke

It was a great ride and the weather was great but my mind was else where. It was a sad day for me.

I feel your pain! I've dealt with this already in my family. It won't get any easier either. All you can do is accept the situation and continue to support your friend any way you can. He's lucky to have a friend like you. I wish him all the luck in the world and will add him to my prayer list. Nothing worse than a great day visiting mom followed by a day of grieving. Life isn't fair sometimes!

Yea and to top it off my mom just fell and hurt herself. :gaah:

Yah I hear ya... In situations like that I recommend that you "Play the Role" of who ever he wants you to be, I found out that's the best.. As much as I hate to say it we all know in LIFE that one day we will pass on and everything in-between is memories.. Enjoy'em why you have;em (memories) and it appears that you are doing one heck of a job with that so keep your head up and enjoy the rest of your trip... You can never tell anyone of your family or friends for that matter that "Ya Love'em" cause you know what? You never know what tomorrow will bring.. I've been told through many people that life after death is much more peaceful. time will tell for all of us.. Hang in there Lamont and spend QUALITY time with Mom.. Oh by the way, have you gave her a ride on the RT yet---Come on don't hold back lets have Mom post a message,, where you at Mom and what do you think??? That is if you have her computer up and running yet!! Ha Ha..

Be careful Brother..

Yes, cancer truly does suck. We have lost many family friends, and it just claimed my brother nearly a year ago. :(

I am very sorry to hear your friend is worse off than you were expecting. Hopefully, even though he may not be able to communicate it, he knew you were there and will carry that memory with him.

I also hope your mom is going to be okay.

Hang in there the best you can, take care of the things you can take care of, and rest up for the journey back home as well.

Just an update to this post. My friend Dennis went to be with the Lord yesterday. He had just started hospice and was given two weeks to live, he went much sooner. If you think about it please pray for his wife Sissy, it's going to be very hard for her but I'm sure she feels some relief too. I don't think I'll be able to make it back out to San Diego and back in time for the service and I really said my goodbyes on this last trip knowing how bad he was. He was a good friend and like a brother to me. He will be missed.
