• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello:

I previously posted on the Ryker forum about my upcoming ankle replacement surgery. I got lots of good tips from you guys. Today, I made a deal on a new, left over 2019 F3 base model.

I want to do something about increasing the lighting, but not to mess with the CANBUS system, and looking for ideas.

Hope I can contribute as I increase knowledge.

If you ONLY want to be noticed any strips of LED's will work fine .... however is you need Nighttime lighting look at what Denali has to offer ... not cheap but possibly the best bang for the buck ..... good luck .... Mike :thumbup:

I've been a newbie since awhile now, posted some bits and bobs.
I read alot on this forum, and as I am mechanicly well enclined, I see same questions over and over again, now whilst surfing the web, I stumbled upon this.

This is by far the easiest safest way I've seen sofar to work with aftermarket lights/ heated grips/ usb and so on, to work with.
safe as in, it powers off after shutdown engine, so no powerdrain
safe as in, fused so no problem with overheating due to a power surge
easy as in, install to battery, and connect with no soldering/ crimping whatsoever.

This farkle is an idiotproof thing, but any fuseblock will do, as you are electrically enclined..
 
Small steps today, just got the bike yesterday. I searched and found the accessory plug on the right cowl. I took the plastic below it off, so I could cut a tie wrap and move the accessory wiring upward so it is accessible from the small panel. I have not ordered any lighting, but wanted to get my phone hooked up to power. I have a Ram mount, so got a 12 volt to USB adapter. Works well.

I do plan to remove the frunk liner and investigate fuse blocks etc.

Congratulations on the first mod wiring.

You don't need to remove the frunk liner. Just unzip it.
