• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Still trying to download my copy. The download has failed 4 times now. I think my wireless internet is pausing on occasion causing the download to fail. I'm trying it again with the cable modem plugged in direct to my iMac.

It downloaded perfectly once I plugged my iMac directly into the cable modem. Now just waiting the approximately 30 minutes for the software to install.

Be aware there are several software apps that have not been upgraded yet to work with LION. You might want to check any apps you rely on prior to upgrading to be sure they are compatible. Or be prepared to pay to upgrade those so they will work.
I have two I use weekly that will cost over $100 to upgrade to use with Lion.

I always wait for about 6 months before upgrading to a new OS -- let someone else work with the bugs of the first release.....

:agree: I work in IT and we never go with the newest release of anything until some other schmucks deal with all the issues.

I upgraded all 5 of my Mac's,love being able to do all of them for only $30., no need to buy a family lic. so far it's prety good and no major software issues.
