• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Luggage?

I have the Utopia driver's backrest installed on my RT. I'm looking for the largest luggage that I can find that will fit on the passenger seat with the backrest installed. Any clues? It seems like I only have around 8 inches in depth for the passenger seat, which isn't much space for a bag.

Jon,

I've decided to try a compression dry sack (Sea to Summit) which is about 10 inches in diameter and about 23 inches tall but will compress down depending on what I pack. Might want to look at the various sizes of the Sea to Summit or other dry bags available. Most are advertised as being water proof and being soft can most likely be squeezed into the space you have behind your backrest. I have an Ultimate seat w/ backrest which gives me a little more room than your setup. Good luck with your search.

More room..!!

Kuryakin (spell check) make a variety of bags all come with rain covers..

Here's a pic of my setup. I use 2 bungie straps to hold the Eddie Bauer bag in place. It doesn't move an inch. Has held up to rain, and I use my gascap to prop the seat up when filling the tank.

Whenever leaving on a long trip, I always make sure I have at least one saddlebag empty. Barring that, I'll take an extra stuff sack with me that is empty as I leave.
It never fails, but somehow all the stuff I bring with me manages to grow and I always come home with more than I left with, filling up the empty saddlebag or stuff sack. I travel alone, so I have no one to blame but myself.
I guess it's true, nature abhors a vacuum.
