I use luggage called DRY Sacks or Dry Bag
A
dry bag is a type of bag which seals in a
watertight manner. Dry bags are often used in
kayaking,
canoeing,
rafting, and other outdoor activities where sensitive items would otherwise get wet as well as extreme sports such as
skiing and
snowboarding. They are often a construction of plastic film, plastic-coated fabric or waterproofed fabric which is formed to create an impermeable, water-ingress protected bag. When using a dry bag, it is vital to ensure the roll top closure is folded at least three times, to create a watertight seal. Construction techniques include welding, sewing (where a seam-tape is used to seal over any needle-holes) and gluing.
The good thing about these they can mould themselves to the shape of the Rear sidecases esp as the LHS sidecase of the Spyder RT becaue it is smaller due to the cut out for the battery - I understand the 2013 RT will not have this problem as the Battery has be moved to the front trunk
When the top is folded over this creates a handle for carrying the Dry Sack so there are no straps etc which can also take up unneccessry room
The Dry sacks are also useful for carrying waterproofs as they can be put in there after use and if they are still damp
they will not affect any other items in the Sidecases
Dry Sacks come in various sizes inc small ones for Cameras etc so you can get ones for the Sidecases, Front and Rear trunks if needed and prices are a lot less than OEM Luggage
