• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

luggage rack

There isn't that I'm aware of but there are other backrests available with a decent sized rack available. Search for backrest and you'll find all the info I have.

I currently use a Kuryakyn Handle bar bag strapped to the BRP backrest. I have been trying to figure out a way to mount a nice sissy bar bag back there. I can dig up pics if you want to try to find the Kuryakyn bag.

The Kuryakyn gran tour bag will mount to the brp backrest. It has a wide velcro strap that goes completely around it (the brp backrest). I then attach the supplied straps. It stays put.

I bought the kuryakyn grand tour bag and it works pretty good, just was looking for a better flat surface to attach it to. It was just a thought and something I wanted to just take a look at for options. Thank you for all the advice.

Just an idea... after you've had the Kuryakyn on for awhile you may notice you loose some space in the bag due to a little crushing in from the front and from underneath. I use the backrest pad that came with the bag and placed it underneath the bag; the flat side against the bag. That pad seems to help in not crushing the bag from the bottom. I aslo attach only 2 of the supplied straps from the 2 top, front D-rings to the passenger hand grips and the crushing in at the front of the bag seems to be reduced. Just a thought.

Thanks

wyliec, thank you for your input, I like that idea about putting the flat velco piece on the bottom of the inside. Thanks again.

I have a T-Bag for the Harley that I had all strapped up on the Spyder for the ride up north last weekend. I didn't use it though, I took it off for fear the constant movement on my backrest would mark up the finish. I was looking to put some soft material between the bag and the backrest but couldn't figure anything out in the short time I had to mess around with it. As usual I didn't plan ahead and it was time to leave, just left some stuff behind.
Now I am looking into saddle bag options.
