• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After our usual breakfast run (Sunset Cafe, Blanco, TX) my buddies and I went about 30 miles over to Luckenbach. It was nearly noon and the crowd was gathering for the 1:00 band. As I pulled in on BR1, a group of six HD riders came over and circled me and the scoot. They started looking and asking Spyder questions. Good questions, no tricycle jokes or BS. The usual questions, cost, handling, stability, ride, steering...etc.

I explained the ABS, DPS, Stability control, rear shock settings, trunk space, (it seems they liked the Frunk space the best). Several laughed and said "that is my next one". I told them about my great dealer too.

I then had a root beer (really a root beer, made with cane sugar, not corn syrup) and we headed home.

Yeah, Roger, it is REAL root beer. Costs a little more, but drinking it and sitting under a 150 year old tree in front of the Luckenbach store, talking two and three wheelers and watching the ladies go by, what else is there? :ohyea:

When Asleep at the Wheel, Willie, or some of those top guys are there you can not get in off of the main road, down the small, narrow road to the dance floor...those folks in four wheelers clog things up bad.....there oughta be a law....

BR1,

You know just a ways north of you in Dublin, Tx you can get Dr. Pepper in bottles by the case made with only cane sugar. The real thing.

Dublin is a couple of hundred miles north of me. I think that if you read the small print, you will see it is made in Mexico. I pass on that drink. Thanks.

There is an old Dr. Pepper bottling plant in Dublin. The soft drink is made on the premises.
