• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lower bumper removal on '14 RT Limited

New Spyder owner. Just picked up a great used '14 RT Limited and noticed that the lower bumper (black section) on my Cognac bike has some pretty decent size chips. I'm touching these up with a touch up pen and, so far, working great.

I've got some 2000 grit wet paper that I'm going to use to try and knock off the edges (yes, have block) and build up the touch up to fill the holes. Probably need a 1/2 dozen of so coats and then clear/polish, etc.

Anyway, I snagged a new replacement lower bumper for $40. Question: How difficult is my life going to be in trying to remove this lower bumper section? I pulled out the pull out fasteners and looks like there are a few tab clips that need to be loosened. I'll need to remove the skid plate, but please tell me I don't have to remove the front end to do this job.

Any advice is appreciated!

I am no help with your project except to suggest that once you replace that part ..................... Put a Bumpskid on it from Spyderpops so you don't have to replace that part again.

When you make the change instead of going with a bumpskid I would look at the new front bumper that Rivco just brought out. Will never hit your nose again.
