• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Low 5 For Corbin

I truly like the look of Corbin's products. And except for the amateurish finish on their bracketry, I think their quality is top notch. But their commitment to delivering when they say they will is virtually non-existent ... at least in my case. When pushed (via phone calls or emails), they'll tell you what they think you want to hear as regards when your prepaid item(s) will ship out. But it goes no further than that. When you call or email to see why the item(s) didn't ship as promised, the folks on the other end have no clue why the promised ship date wasn't met ... and they'll tell you, without hesitation, that they don't know why it didn't ship. All they'll say is that according to their computer screen the items didn't ship.

My saddlebags were supposed to ship out 4 weeks ago. They were going to "rush" my order because of the massive problems I had with their fairing (which I returned for credit toward the saddlebags because they would not refund my $ even though the fairing only had 1 mile on it). No problem ... I wanted the saddlebags anyway. The only response I can get from Corbin is from "Andy J" and that's only by email. Phone calls yield no meaningful responses. They're all really nice folks to talk to ... especially Nina. But the "order status" info given over the phone is, in my case, totally bogus. They all promise they'll drill down to a solution and call me back. They never do ... ever. Nina is the exception (she does call back occasionally) but the info she provides turns out to be less than truthful. I'm not faulting the Corbin employees to whom I speak. I'm sure they're all coached to tell the customer what they think the customer wants to hear. It's a business after all ... and I understand that. Once you have the customer's money in your hand, there's really no need to go out of your way to keep promises ... I'm sure they have way more business than they can handle. But I'd definitely prefer the truth at the onset (as regards delivery) and not be strung along week after week after week ... with no delivery "end" in sight. It's not that I'm in despirate need for the bags ... it's just that once you plop down $1,600 for something, you kind-of what to reap the ownership benefits of said purchase within the promised timeframe.

By the time my saddlebags finally arrive (if they do), it'll be too freaking cold to install them. I woke up to 25 degrees this morning. Hey ... maybe I can don my heated gloves for the installation! Wait a minute ... I don't have any heated gloved. Crap!!!

Sorry to here of your problem with Corbin..
Maybe you should have gotten the Givi bags and the Russell Day Long seat. And you could of saved yourself some money too. Everybody seems to happy with them, so far anyway.

I will never do nor give business to Marcel or Corbin period, unless they improve their business. Some on this forum don't give a horse Ar5e:bdh: what others go thru ( stolen from, shoved around, lied to etc ) as long as they are taken care of.
That the world we live in , as long as I am fine I do not give $h17 to anybody else's predicament. I am in my late 30s but am old school when it comes to service and character of a business, my friends/family first.

I scratch my head everytime I hear a horror story about disingenuous business practice, Marcel of F1 windshield comes to mind, after all his fiasco he still gets a pat on his back. Corbin is no different.

Magicneon is the standard we should go by.:firstplace:
