• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Loving my Limited!

Questions

Hi...I now have 300 miles on my 2011 Limited Edition Spyder and I am loving it! They weather here in ND hasn't cooperated very well and I can't seem to ride it when I can. I rode it to work the other day and it was only 38 degrees when I left that morning - only had 12 miles to go, but I thought it would be worth it because it was 65 degrees when I left that evening. My fellow employees were envious!

I found the Spyder very easy to get used to - and most of the miles have been put on solo. My husband drives an 1800 Goldwing - don't know that you will ever find me riding *#%^@ again!

My question is, does anyone know what the rules are for passengers. I know that I cannot have one as long as I have my permit. But, can they ride as long as they can touch the floor board? That is one thing that I have heard.

Thanks for the input - and thanks for this site!

:congrats: on your new RT Limited. CanAm-Y and I really love ours. It's the best open air ride I have ever owed. Don't miss my HD Ultra Classic at all.

I guess you will need to contact your states DMV to answer you question on the the rules for passenger riders. I do know that the passenger floorboards will raise up quite a ways for shorter riders.

Really depends on your State regulations...Whatever state you reside...?

:welcome::congrats: State DMV has your answer to legal issue, but I don't think you would even want to consider a passenger who could not reach the floorboards as a safety and comfort issue aside... Glad to see someone so happy with the new limited..

Welcome to the world of Spyder lovers. We have had our new 2011 Limited for a month now and have slightly over 1,000 miles on it. We have a sweet 2007 convertible Corvette with 16,000 miles on and the wife prefers the Spyder. It is addictive.
