There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Loved the heat from my 2013 RTLtd!

Started out from Baraga MI going to Porcupine State Forest about 50 miles. It was 50 degrees out and partly sunny, a little on the cool side. AND I loved the HEAT from my RT Ltd. Kept my legs and feet just toasty!:2thumbs:
Hit a high of 75 today and never uncomfortable.

Good news..!!

glad to hear one happy with the heating system on these machines..cold weather does make the heat nice, I avoid all high traffic areas so don't have a problem either. As long as we are moving it is not bad. In traffic it can be a bit ugly...then we stop and let the mob by.. Do have a few mods to help some..

Switch

Come to FL ASAP it's 90 with 90/100% humidity from 8/8 Am to Pm, you will love it! On the way down here don't close any doors we need some relief here badly!

Reminds me of a VW bug with the heat exchanger cables rusted!
Heat was always on. Worked great when you wanted heat... sucked when you did not!

So it all depends on your climate and if the heat is always on or not ;)

So far for me in So Cali.... I am OK with the heat. The hottest foot I had was actually today!!!!
I had black shoes on and thought my foot was getting a little hot.
It was the afternoon sun beating on my foot causing most that heat NOT the dragon's breath!
How do I know? Because I was crusing along and put my right foot on the passenger footrest. It was still hot! So I then tried putting it on the front fender (I know not a great idea but it was a straight road), Yes I am that tall that I can do that! It was still hot! So for me it was the afternoon sun beating on my foot with no real cold air hitting it like my body with a mesh jacket on.

I can now see how a baker air deflector putting air on your foot might work!

Come on down.....102 today, cooler than yesterday....:spyder2:
George!!
How are you doing?
(other than surviving the heat?)
Have Punkin' and Big Red been behaving themselves?

One of our members had a brainstorming session with their dealer; they found that the 2013s didn't have the same heat shield protecting the rider from the engine as the previous offerings. They fabbed up something for under the Tupperware, and he was pleasantly surprised with the results...
...so it appears as if there are some workable alternatves for the new bikes!
(If they're needed!) :D

With all of the complaints I have been reading about the heat coming off the 2013 models - your comment is certainly different then most I have seen and read.

I have 2012 RT-S and the right-leg certainly heats up on a warm day (but easily bearable) and I thought that was bad enough.

But you seem to enjoy the warmth (and perhaps want more?).

But based upon what others are saying it can be very uncomfortable. Isn't the consensus this thing gets too hot?

Bob, I am doing great. It is a little warm here this time of year, but it sure beats my four winters (years) I spent at Grand Forks AFB, ND in the 60s, ha ha. I will be 81 in two weeks and am slowing down some. I still ride a couple fo times a week and every Saturday with my group, the Hill Country Road Riders....mostly retired. We ride 12 months a year depending on the size of your privates. Come on down.

I am having some problems with BR1 and Punkin'. I rode Punkin' last Saturday to Fredericksburg, TX Airport Cafe and had breakfast with my buds. (been riding with some 25 years now). When I pulled into the barn, and slowly passed BR1, I heard Punkin' tell BR1 "How is your oil level, you wimp, I don't use oil, but I heard if your oil level gets down a couple of ounces, you go into lump mode." BR1 said "its limp mode, you dummy!"

Punkin' quited down when I told him I would not plug him into the battery tender if he kept insulting BR1. If it's not one thing, it another with those two. When I closed the barn door, I heard Punkin' say to BR1....."I am going to turn you in to the INS 'cause you ain't an American....you probably crossed the Canadian border hidden in a crate or something!"

BR1 then said "At least I know where I came from, you half breed! Your front end was built in Ohio and your rear end is from a Ford Mustang V6....probably from a junk yard! I could not stand it any more and went into the house.

From my time as a Air Policeman in the USAF, Domestic squables are worse to get in the middle of.
