• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Love2Ride's TricLED Lights Installed

My wife completed the first round of her TricLED light installation today. Earlier on she installed the Tric Fenders, and today she installed some of the strip lights. The fender lights are tied into the fender tip light, and with the ESI Fender Tips mod they also work as turn signals along with her Day Runners. She installed 2 8 inch strips under the nose cone, 1 12 inch strip under each of the black side panels, and 2 8 inch strips on the underside of the frame near the rear shock. The strips are all hooked into separate zones on the 4 way box, and controlled with a remote.

This video will show the results, although for some reason the audio quality turned crummy when I uploaded it to YouTube:

Here are a few still pictures.
This is the front of her Spyder with the Tric Fenders, Hyper Bright Fender Tips, and Day Runners installed:

This is a 3/4 angle rear view of her Spyder with all of the lights on:

This is a shot of her dash, showing how she installed 2 velcro patches, one to hold her MP3 Player and the other to hold the remote for the lights:

I may be partial, but I think she did a great job! I only provided a tiny bit of technical support.

Thank you baby for all your help. I couldn't have done it without you.

Reggy, you're the bomb guy. I really like the lights and wiring them up was EASY. Thank you!!!

Very nice! :2thumbs:

I too have mine wired to my signals. I love it. Of course mine is the "SpyderGirl Special" and not the ESI kit.

Thanks everyone!

And Sypdergirl... I admire how you did your own. I tell ya, when I first loooked at those wires I was like a monkey doing a math problem :gaah:.

A lot of patience on Michael's part and direction and it all came to me. Then once I knew how I wanted it to look I went for it. ;)

It looks fantastic!! :2thumbs:

I am patiently awaiting the release of the amber and red lights, and then it will time to play with my Spyder some more.

Modding, it's more than just a hobby, it's an addiction. :2thumbs:
