• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I bought a new helmet lock from http://lidlox.com/t/spyder :clap:I love it. The service is super. The price is very fair and the quality it is very good.

better yet it was about a 5 min job putting it on.

I emailed about some other things and I got a response back from Matt a few hours ago. So happy with this kind of online store. This lock seems to hold the helmet further away from the panel. But that could just be me.

i would never leave my helmet upside down like that i have seen to many helmets get filled with rain and not to say a few have had bird pop in them

I use the bag that my helmet came with and wrap up the helmet.
Keeps stuff from getting in it.
Also if you wanted to you can still place the helmet on the end of the grip so it is sideways.

Maybe I'm over analyzing this but, what keeps someone from loosening the small set screw and just backing out the lock cylinder? Just the fact that they don't know how the system works?

Simply a deterrant....

most stolen helmets were never locked on in any way. This just makes them move on to the next unsecured helmet. Those determined will simply cut the "D" rings and leave those for you...:joke:

You could unscrew the set screw out, but you still need the barrel key to unscrew the lock. Honestly, this is the best lock to keep honest people honest.
