• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Lousy dealer service on the latest recall

I sent in a filled out a form on my dealers Web sight to schedule an appointment for the nut safety recall last Thursday, 11/12/20. I only got a standard reply thanking me for selecting them. Do to my location I had to check the weather forecast temps. My 3rd and last choice was SPRING, after Rally's hibernation. I was already starting to assume that they had to order the nuts. I'll most likely ride my Rally a couple more times, or at least once for the warmup before an oil change. My built date is 10/18 which put it in the original "OK to ride" group. Probably still OK anyway. They most likely decided to upgrade ALL builds to the new nuts. "Better safe than sorry."

My dealer emailed me Wednesday the 18th, so I had the new nuts put on today. (20th) I asked him if he had to order them. He said he had 3 sets left over from the 1st recall. Last set is going on a Ryker tomorrow. Then he has to start ordering them. I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS WITH MY DEALER. (Got home and did a prehibernation oil change)

Finally got the new wheel nuts install today and they did it quickly this time. New nuts don't look any different than the ones they replaced.

If you look at the tooth profile on the nuts, there well be one tooth that has a different shape to it than the others. Did they give you a certification that the nuts were torqued up to specs.?

Must be a dealer issue, I live on the Oregon coast & called my dealer in Eugene yesterday, they said bring it in anytime. Rode in today and it was done in about 30 minutes. New nuts retainer clips and torgued to specs. Technician took it for a test ride to see if there were any issues that I “ had become accustomed to” good to go!

Florence to Eugene and back....nice ride! This is the first I've heard of a dealer in Eugene, sounds like it's a good one. When I'm in Florence, I can't stay away from Big Dog Donuts. They are among the best.

I am totally amazed at the total lack of any....at least...semi competent Can Am Spyder/Ryker dealers in New Mexico or El Paso, Texas. Even asking about it here in this forum.

Until this recall situation, I had been very pleased with the service department at R&S. I won't let this one instance prevent me from going back when needed.

The dealer in Eugene is Valley PowerSports on Hwy 99N, south of Beltline. Having purchased two SPYDERS , a SXS Maverick, and a RYKER 900. Always see good attention to detail on their machine preparation and service. All good reasons to keep going back!

It’s rather interesting as every time I order a part from my dealer I never get a call that it’s in. I always have to call them to get confirmation.

its odd the latest recall is for the retainers.the main reason there gonna be outta place is if the nut cracks.odd, and the dealer conroe Texas is borderline sucky too.
