There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Lots of new stuff coming out for the Spyder

Been talking with some of my buds about what they are working on and I'm pretty excited about what's coming up. Bushtec is going to have a hitch that will look so cool that you're going to want one even if you don't have a trailer. ;D :doorag: :spyder:

Without spilling the beans too much I will say that a new look for the front of the Spyder is in the works along with a big wheel kit with fenders for the front. I hope to be able to show off some of these parts soon. If all goes as planned this will be a Spyder with alien technology ;D :yikes:

:hot: :2excited:

:hot: No fair I want to be experimental too. You are a great guy sorry we could not ride in Gatlinburg last week. For real if I can be of help in any of the development or testing just let me know.

Lamonster, I think we are just seeing the tip of the iceberg. I am sure the aftermarket is going to grab onto the Spyder and produce all kinds of cool accessories. Mike Corbin is working on aftermarket seats and luggage, and I understand Ken Zeller (Evoluzione Cyclesports) is working on a backrest/top box. I'm sure there will be much more to come from other inventive and capable folks as well. :a18: :hot:
Best,
Bruce

No but Corbin is waiting on my hitch to be done so they can work it out so their new bags will work with the hitch. I'll be going down Friday to leave it with them and should be able to show you guys some pics next week. :doorag:

Sweet!!!!
I cant wait to see the hitch and bags. I sure hope Corbin matches the lines of the bike when they make the bags. This bike begs for removable (or not) hard bags like the ST1300 or FJR!!!

New bags? Is Corbin that close to a prototype already? Woo hoo! :hot:

I am very interested in seeing the hitch and bags. My husband and I plan on doing a lot of touring and we will be making some investments to make those rides as enjoyable as possible. Please show pics when you are able.

I just read my post again and let me clear something up. My Spyder is going to Bushtec for the hitch and Corbin is working with Bushtec. They are good friends and plan on working on a few new products together. :doorag:

I know this will sound like a very STUPID question, but what exactly is this "bag" that you are talking about? :redfaced:

A little while ago, Mike Corbin asked for input from Spyder owners and potential Spyder owners about what accessories they would like to see, especially with regard to seats, backrests, racks, and luggage. He received quite a few suggestions, and one of the recurring themes was that we would like to see some system of detachable hard bags, similar to the luggage system on such sport-touring motorcycles as the Honda ST1300, Yamaha FJR, and various BMW models. I assume from Lamonster's post that the Corbin folks have made progress on this project, and that the bags may be forthcoming soon.
I have maintained from the first time I rode a Spyder that it is a viable touring machine, but does need some help in the luggage department. The trunk holds a fair amount, and if you are traveling solo, you can bungee an extra bag on the passenger seat, but if you are riding two-up, there just is not enough storage space. :(
Cheers,
Bruce

Oh, O.K., that makes sense! That sounds really great. I hope they get that done, and post some photos of the various accessories.

Man, there is never enough storage space! That's why we bought a Spyder for my wife. I can't fit both her and the camping gear on the BMW at the same time.

:agree:
Truer words were never spoken, Scotty. If I could afford it, I would keep my Concours along with the Spyder, but unless I win a lottery in the next six months, that will not happen!

I would like to see corbin lower their prices about 25-40% across the board, I don't know how they sell anything. People who buy their stuff...lets just say people who buy corbin are in the same boat as harley buyers. Ridiculous.

OMG I am not moving from my computer until you get back. You sure can cause anxiety. It's like waiting for the Spyder all over again. DAMN Lamon. So the bags are going to be incorporated withe hitch because I know you do not believe in hooking to suspension and you have experience.
