There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. HI, Thanks for this thread. I read this thread ... but couldnt understand how to remove the grey cover pieces off the bar.

I'm in hope that some pictures will help. dumb and stupid of me to loose the instruction sheet.

what tools are required. ?....

Thanks again.

There are 4 bolts ( I think), 2 8 mm & 2 10mm, "sandwiching" the covers over the bar. Make sure to loosen the throttle assembly and bar plug to slide the throttle out of the way.

Don't sweat the instructions. I threw mine away add followed Quadmaniacs. They are much better.

Doing the 1" is considerably Harder than the 3" instructions because you need a special tool . I,m sure someone will help. Theirs MORE too it than the 3 " riser!!nojoke

I could hunt up Nancy's instructions for you, but they are the early ones, with the wrong torque values. If you are near your dealer, they can download and print the instructions off BossWeb.

BRP 1"Riser - My learning experience

does the missing screws pose any danger...???
Hi ,
Though I got the instructions from you guys , I was skeptical to install the BRP 1 inch riser myself. (but also didnt want to part with 200 bucks for the dealer to install it)
after much dillydallying, I spoke to a friend about the Gear puller , he said he has one. !!! wow it was great. so I loaned it from him.
Then I found I needed a torque wrench.
I dont even know what is a torque wrench.
after another week of thinking... went to sears and confessed to the salesman that I dont know what is Torque wrench and asked his help. he was very helpful.
wow there I go for 25 dollars I bought one (10 lb - 200lb).
now with the gear puller and torque wrench , I embarked on my mission to install the Riser ( at 10:30 pm ) , under street lights!!!!
well I had a torch with me.
as explained in the instructions, I was looking for removing 8 screws.!!!!
I found just 2 of them.!!!!
removed the black cover.
there are only 2 more screws for the handle bar covers.
opened them and all the other screws.
I didnt have to use the gear puller, the old riser just came off with a slight pull.!!!
installed the new 1" inch riser.
used the torque wrench .
the whole mission took me about 45 minutes ( 11:15 pm )
but the planning and collection of tools took me 3 weeks.!!!!
went for a ride to Newyork city in the night.
the BRP 1' riser, made a lot of difference in the Ride. I'm a 6footer.
planning my next mission.

THANKS to ALL

Sent a pm to you weeks ago about directions you were missing and help you needed never got back to me. :dontknow: :dontknow: (coolpilot)
