There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Wilpir, could you elaborate on your experience. Though I love long distance riding on my spyder, sometimes the better half makes us fly or drive the truck.
How did you find the rental that you used. How was the experience? Sometimes when my Spyder is in Winter storage, it's not easy to break it out and trailer it.
And the airlines won't let me bring the Spyder as a carry on.....

It was rented from a national chain..I think Eagle rider? They only had 1 spyder lots of Harleys and Hondas..I just filled out a paper form at the place and they handed me the keys! No instruction how everything worked no manual ..took me over half the day to figure out reverse!(never road a spyder before) Bike was set up in kilometers never really knew my speed and didn't know how to change it! My 1st impression was drove like a snowmobile on the street(30 yrs rider all types of bikes with 4 yrs supermoto racing/trip to the Alps on a motorcycle too) Place was more geared toward Harleys very big and I think it was the owners personal bike (I think an F3):sour:

If you can find them--the price is going to be in the $200 to $250 per day area.

For Spyders, your best bet is to check with a dealer. Rental agencies don't like to mess with Spyders as they are a bit technical, and easier to beat up by the rental public.

We had scheduled a rental with Rice in Rapid City. They were quoting me $250 per day. It snowed the day we were going to ride--so I had to cancel that one.

I did a little better in Maui HI. Maui Scooters NO LONGER rents Spyders. Their complaint was per the second paragraph above. We got a "well used" RS for one day and it was about $150 back in 2013.

Aboard the RS in Hana, Maui HI (2013)

In the Yuma area. Any help?

Rental from a private party might be a bit of a reach.

I would not rent mine to someone I do not know--and probably not to someone I do know.

These are $30K machines and a lot can go wrong with the process. :dontknow::dontknow:

I am way to conservative to take that risk.

Local EagleRiders outfit ( megamall dealer in NJ) rents either F3 or R T for 170/day...7+ days is 130/day...basically same as a Heritage Softtail or a Gold Wing...a Slingshot is 259/239...while Honda Rebel 500 is 99/79.

And I have often seen a guy in my area who bought and rents his slingshot...I think he set up an LLC, slapped a big insurance plan on and hands you the keys (and a helmet of course).
