There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Looking to add Highway pegs

I have just recently bought a 2012 RTS SE5 and have a little over 400 miles and I really would like to add some Highway pegs to the bike. I'm rather tall at 6' 2" and need to stretch my legs to a different position from time to time. I really get the feeling that I'm kind of cramped on the bike and was wondering if highway pegs would be the solution or if I need to go with a different seat so my butt is farther back on the bike. I really think that the highway pegs would be the best solution but wanted everybody's suggestion as to which way I need to procede. If pegs are the way to go please give me information about whose has the best pegs and easiest to install for the buck. Also give me a way to contact the person that are selling the pegs or seat. Thanks to all.

Get some seal floor boards I got some on my 2012 rt se5 and love them.Go to main page and look for Seal Floor Board vender.

I attended SpyderFest this week and had the Diamond R Accessories Split Floorboards installed on Thursday. They also have the highway pegs too. The best of both worlds. I got their Special Additions ones (the paint matches my blue Spyder, they look like they come from the fractory). I rode home yesterday, 14.5 hours, 850+ miles and it is unbelievable the difference they make! It is so much more comfortable when your foot can be placed flat on the floorboard. You have the option to stretch out and use the highway pegs too. I'm also 6'2" and they really make a difference!

The Nbv foot pegs are the best for the price. Floor boards get costly but do work very well.
I have the J&M boards but there are a lot of vendors that sell them on this sight.

I have installed Lamonts highway pegs with the heat block off plate on the right side. It was easy to do and the adjustability should give you plenty of range for your height. I preferred these over other pegs because they mount to the frame and not to the engine so you do not get the vibration from the engine thru your feet. Good luck with your decision.

:agree: I took off my NBV's and put Seals on. You have so many more options on foot placement it's unreal. Very comfortable.

Just put my seal floorboards on this past weekend, they look nice, but haven't had a chance to try them yet, due to snow still blocking the spyders exit. But they all seem like they would make a comfortable ride!

I have HY pegs on my RS and found that for a guy they are to wide to be comfortable very long my wife likes them (wider hip structure i guess) they are outside the colored panels I also built floor boards for the area behind the radiators it's nice to have choices for ffoot placement but I don't feel like either is safe without a handbrake

Foot Rest

I was at my dealer right after I bought my Spyder and they had taken one in trade and they had some highway foot rest and talked them out of them. They even put them on for me. The question and problem I have is the hot heat that comes out of the right side. What has anyone done to divert it without obstructing it.

I recently sold my ISCI's that I had on my 2010. They are really well made products, and they even came with an extention for longer streches. I loved them, but when I traded to my 2013 I took them off and didn't feel like going thru the process of re-installing them. I got a set of Lamont's NBV's and they are more affordable, cleaner install and lighter. But you have pleanty to choose from!

I want to thank all that replied to my question about the floorboards/pegs. I have looked at some of the sites and I really like the Seal Floorboards. They are not only a floorboard that allow you to move your foot position but it also has a place like a highway peg in the Delux version for the model RTS. I watched the install video and they really look like an easy install also. Thanks again for all that replied.
