• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for riding through curves tips

Thanks to Spyderlovers friends

I'm certain you'll get lots of good advice here.

The simplest & easiest to follow info that I got was when you turn lean your head\& body to just, but not quite, kiss your knuckles on the hand closest to you.

It's not that exaggerated but the general body motion is helpful.

You are so right. I received a lot of useful tips on riding thru curves here. I already have used the advise from folks here and feel a lot more relaxed. I am grateful. I am not quite up to speed on how the mechanics of this forum works. Is there a forum etiquette FAQ.

Also from a strictly mechanical point of view, installing BajaRon's swaybar will make your machine feel completely different. Like a whole different machine.
Agreed. After installing the Ron bar, the need for actual lean in highway curves is quite a bit less.

Rode to the summit of Pikes Peak with my Spyder RT

Thanks for all the help from spyderlovers for giving me the techniques and moxie to get comfy with my Spyder and riding through curves. I had to stop at pullouts to let Spydie cool down during my ascent to the summit of Pikes Peak. The descent did not require cool-down stops. Again, thank you!

Curves

The best advice I received was from Lamont. I'm from the flat lands and had no idea how to manuver the curves in the mountains. He told me to slow down, stay on your side of the road, and don't look in the ditches. You will get some kind of rhythm and you will figure out what works best for you. Good luck!
