• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for ride leaders for Durango Owners Event

Lamonster

SpyderLovers Founder
One of our member's "GnA" (George from Colorado) has been asked by BRP and has volunteered to help coordinate the various guided and self-guided rydes for the Durango Owners Event. George is recruiting a "Volunteer Ryde Crew" to lead and guide the rydes. BRP will offer those on the "Official Ryde Crew" a small incentive (perhaps reimbursement for one night of your hotel expense or a gift certificate - amount TBD) in appreciation of your help.

If you would like to be on the Ryde Crew or nominate someone you think is a good group ryde leader or ryde sweeper, please PM or email GnA (George) at [email protected] with you contact info. George will contact you for a short "interview" and to discuss the plan. Ryde crew should have experience in managing (or helping with) groups of 20 - 40 bikes on a group ryde and be able to familarize themselves with ryde routes, via online maps. This will be great fun... and a chance to be a contributing part of the success of the Durango event! :doorag:

Ryde Leaders Needed!

Hi Lamont - Thanks for the intro.... This is going to be a blast!!!!

BRP thought it would be a great idea to get ryders from all over the Spyder community involved with the rydes.
We know there are many experienced group leaders and tail gunners who wll help keep everyone safe and have a lot of fun.
The Colorado southwest highways and biways are not that complex, so having local experience on the roads is not as important as knowing how to keep a group ryde organized, setting a comfortable pace for the group and moving on schedule... while at the same time, ensuring the best possible eperience for all involved. We are currently in the process of working out the Ryde Schedule to allow maximum time for the on-site events.

Our Volunteer Ryde Crew will not be over-taxed... after all, we all want to be able to enjoy the planned activities too. Ryde Guides can help on one, two or all three days (your choice). At current, 9 rydes will be available, 4-guided and 5 self-guided. We are also working on an online pre-registration for the rydes so we can fit the proper number of ryde guides to each ryde.

The Million Dollar Highway, Telluride Loop, Four Corners and Meas Verde Park rydes will be the guided rydes. An area map with ryde descriptions, points of interest and food/gas stps will be available for all event participants. If you or somone you know would like to to be a part of the "Official Ryde Crew" please cntact me by PM or email within the next two weeks. We will have tele-conference calls in May to ensure the Ryde Crew is comfortable with their role in each ryde.

This is a rare opportunity to be a part of a magnificient event... Let's help BRP make this event successful. Your contribution will be appreciated!:thumbup::thumbup:
