Looking for Mel's Monster Garage Backrest

I know Mel's Monster Garage close his shop,and i really looking to buy the Backrest he sold last year...so if someone looking to sell is backrest...i am VERY interested!!!

I was emailing Jim back and forth about a month ago. He was able to get some backrests made up for us. About 20 I think. Email him to see if there are any left. His email is [email protected] .

I think he is looking for $300 plus shipping. Something like that.

He normally takes about a day or so to respond to an email.

Thanks!!! Do you have the Mel's backrest on your Spyder?? If yes are you happy with?? Its safe(because i don't know how the backrest lock in the holes!!???)

I ended up not getting one. But I believe there is a bracket the goes under the plastic piece behind the seat using existing bolts. Which means two holes have to be drilled in that piece of plastic. The backrest slips into that bracket and a small allen key screw holds in place.

I loved the look and it looks like it would be secure enough. I'm still shopping around for a backrest myself.
