• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for Lighting and Luggage

I have a 2008 RS. I'm looking for a couple of things and could use some help in getting good products.

I would like to add some additional lighting - especially in the back. Can anyone suggest a good product that is fairly easy to install? (My hubby and I did install the Custom Dynamics 4" handlebar risers, so we are somewhat mechanically inclined.)

Also, I'm looking for some additional storage, preferably saddlebags or a "trunk" that would sit on the passenger seat (as I rarely carry a passenger). Again, can anyone suggest a good product that is not too pricey.

Thanks, everyone, for your assistance.

Couple of things I did on my RS regarding lighting were very simple and afforded great benefit IMO.

First, I replaced the tail lights and turn signal light with LED's. Then I put on the Triple Play harness and module. Click ESI's website from the SL's Homepage for these products.

As for luggage, I designed a rack which fit behind my passenger backrest on which I could strap down a small piece of luggage. The one I typically carried was 22" x 13" x 10". The rack could easy handle 20 or so pounds. Course, the latter won't work if ya don't have the backrest.

Look at ESI or Custom Dynamics for the Rear Center Light.
The mud flap lights actually define the space of the Spyder Greatly and if you include the fender tip Kit (About $65) it turns your Mudflap and fender tip light into running and turn signals.
