• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

looking for info.on brake recalls

I am scheduled for my first inspection on Wednesday and asked my dealer if he knew of any service bulletins that were out from BRP. He said to give him my VIN and he would check. I was looking for a fix for the squeeky brakes and I thought I had seen a post before about a brake recall and fix that BRP was offering. After running my VIN # he said there was nothing for my bike. Does anyone know different or is this correct. Thanks for the info. in advance.

I was told by the other spyder ryder in town that under 10,000km the parts were replaced for labour only, under 5,000km totally free. Also they would put on a heat shield over the ugly burn spot on your muffler as well.

There was never an actual 'recall' of the brakes - just changes to a different type if you complained about the noise. The new ones don't work as well according to many riders.

True....the brake issue was a 'service bulletin'...no a recall...after more thought (and hearing from Scotty on this matter), I'm keeping what I have as softer brakes don't work as well...I'll gladly take the squeaking...

On that note, Scotty's suggestion does help about 80% for reducing the squeaking...
