There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Looking for Hitch Help

Hey everyone,

I am hoping someone can help me. I am looking for someone who can install a receiver/hitch on a 13 RT Limited SE-5. In addition I need a fabrication/bike rack that would allow a 14 pound road bicycle to hang vertically on the roadster. I'm not sure a horizontal application would work with the mirrors and the rear lights. I appreciate any help I can get and I live in Polk City, FL.

I think I would consider using a light trailer to haul the bicycle...or even two. Just a suggestion.

I'm sure you could rig up some kind of reciever hitch for a bike rack like on cars, but I dont think it's a good ideal having the bikes hanging out on the sides.

I don't want it to hang horizontally. I was looking for a vertical application so I don't block the lights or mirrors. Sounds like I might have to rethink this plan though.

The Spyder is well suited to towing, but it does have some limitations. I'm sure if you could find a vertical rack that the hitch could be modified with a square receiver to fit it, but the tongue weight capacity of the hitch is only 40 pounds, so a rack and bicycle would likely exceed that. A small, single rail motorcycle trailer like the Ultra-Tow from Northern Equipment would probably work better, or you could buy a trailer frame from Harbor freight and add a motorcycle rail at a reasonable cost. The Spyder tows a trailer well. If I can tow a small motorcycle with mine, you can tow a bicycle with yours.
