• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for good dealer in Michigan?

I am looking for suggestions for a good dealer in Michigan. I want to support my home state with a new purchase! I spent last Saturday over at Ray C's motorsports in Lapeer at the BRP demo event. I talked with the owner's son about trading up. To an RTS or an RT Limited that he had. He sat down. And worked some numbers including my GS in a trade. I told him I would think about until Monday. Contacted him Monday and he shot me a "trade difference" number. We agreed on a price then I didn't hear back until Wednesday and he tells me he has to get it approved to buy the trade. Yesterday after waiting all day, I call him at 5:30 to see when we can finalize the deal and he tells me that he wants me as a customer but he doesn't have any money to buy my trade!! WHAT? REALLY? I couldn't believe it! He told me he could buy it in April! But the 2011's will be fine by spring and $1500 in rebates will be gone and He said the 2012's will be going up $600-$800!Very frustrated and disappointed !

One of the problems you are going to have is that dealer inventories are extremely low right now. The reason the dealer you talked to probably has those Spyders left on the floor is his inability to trade. Most unfortunate! You might try contacting another dealer, such as one of those I PMed you about, and see if they can work out a dealer-to-dealer buy or trade. The dealers do have a locating service available to them on BossWeb, that can search other dealer's inventories. Matt VanDam from Leaders Marine showed it to me just the other day.

So far I have been satisfied with Town and Country in Cement City.

Fox Shawmut Hills in Grand Rapids is great but they don't have any Spyders available. In fact they have the BRP regional reps RS on the floor just to have something to show until the 2012 arrive.

There is also a dealer in St. Johns I think it is called 127 Powersports. I met someone who recently bought a Spyder from them and she really likes them.

Scotty - is this a brother of Kevin Van Dam? I bought my Ranger bass boat from a dealer over that way, and I wonder if that's the dealer. He was outside of town on the west side of 131. The boat was eventually sold for my first motorcycle.

We bought our Spyder from Town and Country. They have done good, workmanlike service for us. Our saleperson - Jason - was super. Service can sometimes take longer than they say, but at least the work is done right.

Thanks for all your feedback! I can try calling Town and Country
I emailed them Monday and have never heard anything back. I do appreciate all the suggestions!

Mike
