• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

One of the best additions I have done for comfort.

ok cool so far.. anyone go with anything other then black seat and sides?

anyone go with NO stitching? i heard that stitching makes it not waterproof.

Dave, I reallly like that stitching design! Do they have a name for it? I'm not too keen on the whole Spiderweb thing... If you look up "Arachnaphobia" (SP?), my picture is there with me shaking in my boots...
"Spyder" as in "sports car" is how I look at these bikes... it keeps my inner screaming child warm and happy... But I'm still looking to get a Corbin at the earliest opportunity!
I'm thinking of doing the seat up in the Navy Blue leather with red welting. Trying to talk the Missus into matching her trunkrest up also and then going full-on with 'rests for my back and her arms too!:doorag:

Mine is stitched and it will hold a 2" puddle of water if it sits in the rain or I wash the bike but as soon as I wipe it dry it stays dry. It's plenty waterproof for me.

Its called the Tuck and Roll stitching pattern. I have been in some real downpours and had no water issues at all.

how about passenger is the seat any better for the passenger?

The few passengers that I have had on the Spyder really like the Corbin over the stock seat. One said she sits down in the seat instead of sliding around on top of it.

The Corbin seat is the best mod we've done to the Spyder, and my wife agrees. It has sat out in heavy rain all night, next morning just wiped it off and it was fine. I've got the standard stitching (this pattern is no longer offered), and it seems very waterproof.

When I ordered my corbin (don't have it or the bike yet) I initially ordered without stitching. Dealer spoke to Corbin and they highly recommended stitching, that it would keep the foam in place and in shape. And if the riders are a little larger it helps to maintain the structure.
