There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.
Looking for a 2008 GS Master Key - any ideas?

Do you still have a key that works at all? If so, you should be able to find a locksmith who can clone that key onto an appropriately chipped key blank and cut it, negating the need for a Master Key. 
Sorry, but I cannot remember the part# for the chipped key blanks, but a search here should bring it up, or maybe someone else will answer??

You're not going to find a dealer who would sell a Master Key... assuming they haven't lost theirs. And that's not what you need, anyway. Most people just buy this chipped blank, and have it cut and cloned to one of their existing Spyder's keys. Hard to find in stock anymore. Good luck with it.

No. Not saying that. BUDS is not used for key programming prior to 2014. You buy that key that I linked to up above. It has a blank chip in it. You go to your locksmith and get that key cut to match your BRP key that already works. Then you have your locksmith CLONE the blank chip in that key, from the chip in your BRP key that already works. They should have the electronic equipment for that, or you can buy one yourself. Then, both keys contain the same code and the bike can’t tell the difference. You can do this for any number of keys. The bike will never know.
One thing to understand, the chip in OEM BRP keys comes new with a code already on the chip. It’s a misnomer. You are not programming the key itself, even though the terminology makes it sound that way. You are downloading the code on the key to the DESS module on the bike. You can not over-write the code on an OEM BRP key. It’s read only. So, if those three keys that you already have cut are official OEM BRP keys, that you paid around 50 bucks or more for, they’re useless without that mythical Master Key. Even if you found a dealer that still had or could find their Master Key to add your three BRP keys, (for a fee) if that’s what they are, he sure won’t sell it to you.
PS - Just one other item for clarity. What that Master Key does, is switch the DESS module into "programming mode" in order for it to accept and download new security codes from new OEM BRP keys. The Master Key doesn't actually start the bike. So, by cloning a working key onto a key with a blank chip, the code is exactly the same and the DESS module never needs to be put into programming mode with a Master Key. The cloned key works as though it was the original.
If you just don’t care about DESS anymore, then refer to this thread. Having an immobilizer on a bike is ridiculous anyway.

No such thing as a "master key," every spyder key is different. Different cut and different chip. Because I have key issues, I have 4 chipped and cut keys ($55each+$10cut each). Wife has one, I have one, one at home in a drawer, and one hidden on the spyder. Any one of them will start the spyder. Plus, I have 4 unchipped keys that will open the front and rear tunks, and raise the seat, attached to all of our key rings. So, if you are unlike me and don't have boocoo keys for your ride and are away from home and lose your key like I've done, goooood luck.

There does exist master keys for the 2008 thru 2013 Spyders. They are used to put the DESS in programming mode to learn a new key. Easily recognized because the head of the key is red. No longer available from BRP but a few shops including mine still have one.
