• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Look what I have for the weekend...

Look what I have for the weekend!!! One of the few pre production new 2014 RT... I am supposed to test it and be critic about it! The critical part will be difficult: only 60 miles back from my dealer in Livermore (yes I took some back roads!) and I love it! I've been riding my 2011 RT-S for over 2 years and I am only now getting OK with the vibrations, the heaviness of the front (I have a better swaybar but still), the lack of grip of the brakes... 60 miles on the new RT and these problems are history: 75/80mph= 4000rpm, 3 cylinders 120 degrees=no vibrations, Brembo=nice bite and the new suspension is out of this world: no twitchness, easy steering, what a difference! Even the unbelievable: the new one is more comfy for the pilot and the passenger!!
Bad points: have to have the brake on to get in 1st gear, no more tach in the central dashboard and I still do not like the exo-skeleton on the front fenders!
I know I will order the SE and not the limited as I do not care for the extra chrome but it will still be Cognac!
Can't wait to leave for my 2 days weekend on it...

Im surprised Bob hasn't caught a weekend flight to San Fran!

Having to step on the brake to snick it into gear; certainly NOT a deal-braker!
The tach? Hopefully; it is a display option that can be summoned...

I'm working on a list of questions for prmURAT for Monday. He better be riding the daylights out of the 2014 this weekend.

Wow! How do you get a job like that? :dontknow:

Does the driver's seat look more "sculpted," kinda like the RS seat? I would like that. The edges of the seat on my 2011 RTS bother my legs.

:congrats: I can't wait to hear your reports.

Some people have all the luck. Good for you. :2thumbs:

Interested in what you can find about the tach--I have learned to drive and shift by the tach--so for me it seems like an important guage. I know the shift ranges are different, but how that all works out is up to you beta testers.

Hope you get in a lot of miles for your test. Go for 750 to a 1000 if you can. :2thumbs:

Hey BRP. If you need anyone to test one in the deep South, I'm available. I have a 2012 RTS, so can compare apples to apples. Just offerin (read begging)...

Your killing us here. :yikes: I never get picked for anything. Well, almost. Uncle Sam picked me in 1972. Everybody has to win sometime. I wish I had lost though. :banghead: Tom :trike:

75/80mph at 4000 rpm and smooth. Wow. Took my new 2013 rts out today. Riding two up with wife , got it up to 62 mph it shook so bad had to back it down. Less then 400 miles on it. I should have waited for the 14.
