• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Longest ride on your Ryker?

How is that windshield for protection? Looks very interesting and priced right....does it come complete with the bar attachments?

How is Ryker for wind protection on the legs? First and foremost IMO for touring any distance is comfort, second storage capacity, I have sat on a Ryker in the dealership and thought that my legs were right out there for wind rain and bugs. I saw the upper fairing from BRP and thought thats a step in the right touring direction and the 3 piece luggage set offered by Spyder Extras is a good move all though those plastic hinges will be problematic. Is there anything out there that offers better leg protection?

I have ridden my Rally model relatively frequently in the rain. My observation is that the Can-am engineers did a very good job of designing the front fenders. The little tabs at the bottom of the fender direct most of the spray away from the driver. Because of the feet first riding position of the pegs (as adjusted for me) most of the spray I do get is on the bottom of my boots. The shape of the hood offers some protection for my legs when hugging the tank and I did not experience much problem during grasshopper season last summer.

An upgraded wind screen is important as the stock screen offers little protection and is very noisy at highway speed.
