• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After finishing the second BWW in Rancho Cucamonga last week it was time to finaly head back to Oregon, Having enjoyed SoCal since Febuary and making the run down and back three times this year usualy in 2 days for the 1,200 mile ride we are ready to take the long way home. We pulled the fifth wheel back home and put the bikes in storage for a week then flew back to Ontario CA, to ride home. A little late in the year but we hope the weather holds. First night in Fontana at the Wigwam Hotel on Route 66, then over the Angles Crest Hwy to Bakersfield to catcah a show at the Buck Owens Crystal Palace, next day up to the Giant Sequoias then a night at Mariposa, gateway to Yosimite, ran into snow but the roads were clear, over the hill to Carson City and the long way home will continue.....

Still going north

We ran into a little weather that has slowed us down a little but gave us a chance to visit some friends along the way.

I have to ask you this: How does the Spyder do in snow conditions??? Is it scary? How about high wind during the trip? Does it get blown around a lot?

Beautiful pictures.

Be safe!

The Spyders are definetly not snow machines, They can handel a little slush but you need to slow way down. The winds are not bad at all , it takes a really big wind to move the spyders around, even with the trailers on. We still have one mor leg to make before we get home and thats at 4,000 feet but it looks like the roads are clear today and we are going to make a break for home as its only 150 miles. The Santiam Pass should be beautiful as it snow the last several days.

Beautiful...

Thanks for taking us along with you. Even the snow adds to the trip (seeing as it did not stop you). Beautifulcpictures and a great long road home no doubt. Enjoy your last leg and hope its clear for you all the way...:2thumbs::ohyea::ohyea:

Home for awhile

1,465 miles of mostly smiles and a few frowns, we are home for the Holiday as my lovly bride for the last 40 years has been the anchor of our hosting Thanksgiving for my family. The next job is on the Oregon Coast so I will be only 2 hours from home this winter. We arrived late in the afternoon so we just covered the bikes and headed into the house. Looks like a big storm is heading for the Pacific Northwest so the bikes will park in the garage for a bit after a much needed bath. Great trip and cant wait for the next long ride, or even the short ones when its not raining.
