• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Long Time Lurker, Took The Plunge!

Hello Spyder Lovers! We did it. Bought a 2014 cognac RT Limited today! We'd been researching and doing our homework for a year+ and been a pest to our salesman, Jamie at Middletown Cycle the whole time but he was patient with us and very helpful and it finally paid off for him today. I arrange a long awaited test ride with him and we went in this morning to do our first test ride not expecting to buy one right now but... long-story-short, we drove it home! So far love it but have only put 25 miles or so on it coming home from the dealership. We have never really been on motorcycles before (me, twice, 30+ years ago(!)) so this is really a first. Last year I did do the Basic Rider Course and passed with flying colors and got my motorcycle endorsement/license and the wife, Carie will be taking the same course this year. She'll go get her learners permit this week, though. I see there is a gathering of Spyders next week at Middletown Cycle so we're going to try and make it to that. We won't participae in the rides but may eat some hot dogs and pick all your brains for tips, tricks and other info. Thanks all, for all your good information we learned on this site over the past year+ !!! :) It all seems pretty surreal at this point. The buying experience was fine and Jamie was great but very we're disappointed at the price we paid as we did not get any off MSRP whatsoever so that hurt and was not expected at all. Other than that life is good and we'll get over it and move on.

PrairieSpyder, the wife wanted me to get a white one but the plan is that we will probably be getting her a Spyder for herself and she can get whatever color she'd like...:D...She wants an ST limited and we are waiting to see if they put the new 1330 engine in those before we jump on one. If we got one for her now and then next year they put in the new engines, I'd be pretty upset, so we'll wait till later this year to see what they do.
