Longest ryde so far on the Spyder. 325 miles in about 5 hours. I love my Spyder. I've done this trip on two wheels before and it was much better on three.
Ryde details,
Started in stafford va, stopped by FMS to get the 12v accessory plug. Hit 95 from there. Took 295 around Richmond. First gas stop around emporia, mm 13. Got into NC and decided the weather turned good enough to shed the frog toggs so I stopped at the rest area. Continue riding to 795 and into Goldsboro NC. Gas up in Goldsboro and then do the last leg of my ryde I to Havelock NC.
I learned that you don't get quite as good of gas mileage at 77 mph as I do at 60mph but it was fun.
Update, back home:
We opted to avoid the boring highway on the way back into VA. We took 17 north out of New Bern NC after the fuel stop. Man has that changed since we lived down there. 17 over little Washington up to 13/64, cut to the west through rocky mount to the super slab (aka: I-95) 295 around Richmond to US-1 north home. 328 miles give or take making it 700+ miles for the weekend.
