Lodging near Knob Noster/Whiteman AFB, MO

Howdy,

My 16-year-old granddaughter and I are ryding to Knob Noster / Whiteman AFB, MO June 26 in order to have a tour of the base on Friday morning, June 27.

We realize there is no Family Camp on base. So...what does MoGang recommend for lodging in the area? We can "pitch a tent" or rent a motel room where we and the Spyder are safe.

in Warrensburg, MO. You're about 20 minutes away. It's a college town (Central Missouri University) so you will have many options.

just 1/2 mile north of the entrance to Whiteman AFB, is Knob Noster State Park, it has great camping facilities, you can book it on line.

Thanks. I did not know there was a state park in the area. That is a big help.

Are yu retired ? If so did you try and stay on base ? I stayed at Bolling Joint base in DC and I think it $30 a night or something like that. Base site should have contact information.
