l had a problem with excess blue loctite that ran a little on my painted plastic panel and colored it, could not rub it out. I believe this stick form will work out much better and its hi heat resistent unlike the liquid form....http://www.all-spec.com/products/37684.html

Are you saying the wax-stick form will eat plastic. I've had the liquid loctite discolor a little of my painted side panel but not harm it otherwise. However it will dissolve the black plastic in the rear reflector/light housing.

I don't know about the stick but the liquid sure did a number on my licence plate light !!

Sometimes I use a little Dab of silicone rubber ( RTV ) on the end of screws and bolts; Makes a excellent thread locker, and won't drip off.:f_spider:

:agree: That's how I keep my second license plate light assembly from falling off (I lost the original one somewhere on a freeway in May).

Loctite eats plastic

NEVER use any Loctite thread locker stick or liquid on plastic.
Some people apply it to a metal screw that screws into plastic, this is a big NO NO
