• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

lock keys in storage trunk

Pull on the trunk release cable. If you don't have a trunk popper spring installed, you may have to have someone pull up on the trunk lid gently while you pull on the cable. There are some threads that describe an "Emergency Trunk Release" mod. Might be a good idea for the future.

What are the last 5 digits of your VIN # (just in case...) :joke:

one4all

Were you able to get it open? I tried earlier today when I was trying to install a trunk release. Didn't have much luck pulling on the factory cable. It actually looks like you are pulling on the sheathing with not much movement of the cable.

it works
that how i unlocked it when i locked my key in the trunk...

These latches just keep the honest people honest anyway. Better if a determined thief knows how to get in with less damage.

I'd prefer if nobody know how to get in...a determined thief might read boards to learn about how to get into the trunks...that way it's always easy...

Eh, whatever, if someone wants in, they'll get in...

for a thief, it will be easier to tear off the the "locked trunk" than bother to remove the left panel:D

along with the stock release I added electric switch so I could open the trunk without turning off the engine. That's great as long as I don't lock my keys in the trunk. I had a standard chock cable setting around so I installed it along with the other releases. Ran it down and around installed it on the top control are cover left side. Spray painted it flat black. Only one person notice it. And ask about. He is a BRP representative.:chat:

Remove the front left pannel.

After 84,000 km's and 3 years of selling these... I finally locked my IPS in the trunk. :cus:
Got a ride home, came on this thread and found this post. Ran back to my Spyder and within 20 seconds, popped the trunk. LOL
Thanks
