I stripped down my Spyder RT -S 2010 to connect into the front speakers and run a lead to the back
I stripped down both sides as I wanted to clean those areas normally hidden by the panels – Its amazing how much Dirt/Dust you will find
When checking the fuel cap side I noticed a main Live feed running from the Battery towards the front –
I also noticed although it is Zip tied it looks like it could rub against the edge of the fuel tank – Although it is in some binding its not very thick and my concern were it could
wear and cause a short or even a fire ?
I know there has been some issues ref Spyder Fires and I am sure BRP are aware ref the routing of this Live feed
Just to be sure I have covered over the original binding with some Automotive conduit including double thickness where the Live goes near the Fuel tank edge
I also use coloured Zip ties to identify any new wiring I have added - e.g Red Zip ties to at least remind me there is a Live Cable inside
I have taken some Photos of before and after Just to highlight my findings
Hope some others find this information useful
