There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I finally got done battling BRP Care and they finally assigned a case number to my dealership, can anyone tell me what that means? My case involves the heat issues on the 2013 ST-Limited caused by the CAT and I'm fighting for the new 2014 side panels, the dealership doesn't have any record of the case number assigned yet, in your experience, does this mean BRP Care will be paying for them or not?

BRP should have given you the case number; which you could then give to the dealer.
It may be too early to tell how the winds are blowing with it just yet... bRP is inverstigating, and will make a decision. You might want to talk with JacqueTanis... They DID pay for hers!

Thank you Bob, they did give me the case number but the email states it was sent to my dealer, BRP is not the easiest to deal with through emails, it's been a little over a month of going back and forth with them to finally get a case number, I hope they're going to cover them under warranty but who really knows for sure

Good Luck with them!

Case Number

After my dealer wasn't satisfying me with the heat issue, I called BRP Care. At that point they gave me a case number and told met o get my bike back to my dealer and give them the case number. At that point, my dealer was to contact them to discuss what they should do. My dealer did what they wanted them to do. The dealer said BRP wanted them to ride my bike for five minutes, let it idle for five minutes and then take a temperature reading in the right foot opening. BRP said that it was within "their guidelines and nothing more needed to be done. "The dealer was told not to measure the heat at the point where I was experiencing heat.

I was very ticked at that point because the third degree burn on my upper thigh said that it wasn't "within anyone exceptable guidelines for riding" Needless to say, I hung up the phone and immediately called BRP Cares and while on hold, my dealer called me back as they too spoke to BRP about how upset I was and BRP decided that they would send them replacement panels for no charge to the consumer, me. All that I can say is not to give up as it clearly is their design flaw and it is not that expensive of a repair for them to make it right.

Good luck and the panels are AWESOME...I LOVE my ST-S again!

Thank you for the information, I have a really good dealer and they are aware of what I'm trying to do, I have a slight twist with my complaint though, the NHTSA is also involved and wants to send a rep up to photograph my bike with the new panels as they're building a case against BRP for this flaw, should be interesting how BRP Care handles the problem.

 Third degree? Isn't that when flesh starts charring?

We might be exxagerating a little bit... I hope! :D

Still; I'm glad that you got the panels, and your bike is running as it should! :2thumbs:

Here's the latest, I won my case hands down, BRP didn't even put up a fight and got the new panels and installation at no charge, the dealer called today to set up an appointment, so thrilled and it only took me 2 to 3 weeks from start to end

Did you do this battle by phone and email or email only?
So far they haven't even responded to my emails.

Took me three weeks from my first phone conversation with BRP Care and that's because the kit was not available - they had just started making them. My dealer left much to be desired but BRP Care was wonderful, from start to finish ... you're going to love those panels. Before I got them I was not a 'happy camper' - now I have a hard time getting off my machine. We just did 5200 miles and it was great, no matter the weather or type of riding we were doing (less then 200 miles of our trip was interstate - the rest was back roads and small towns). So glad you're getting the panels ...

I had my own temp readings, along with pics of burn marks on my leg, etc., etc. Also had paper trail to show what I had done. I do believe BRP is stepping up to the plate ... they were easy to work with once I got the ball rolling. From what I hear most people these days don't have to go through all the rigmarole we first three did ... Good luck with your new panels - ride, ride, ride!

We emailed BRP Care and Steve M sent us our case number the next day. That was just last week. Panels were ordered last Friday and we are just waiting until they come in.

It should not take long. My panels only took 3 or 4 days to come in.
