• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Literal hot seat on 2012 RT Limited

Was riding the other day and felt intense heat on my butt. I use an Airhawk so there was some insulation. But the heat felt like someone had thrown a switch -- similar to heated grips. Temperature gauge was normal. Got home and raised the seat. The black rectangular tube that is a frame member in the middle of the space was too hot to touch. Just had a couple of relays replaced but I can't imagine how the hot seat might be connected to the relay situation. I've never heard of a problem like this. Any ideas??? Thanks in advance...

Interesting..!!

12's were not known to have this heat problem that I know of. Heat issues in that area can come from worn out "Y" gaskets on the exhaust system. Now to travel up to the backbone is a lot of heat or a very long ryde. Don't think the relay change could cause this cause electrical heat will blow some fuses. Let us know what you find out...

(RTs don't have the Y gaskets that fail so often...)
When they were replacing relays; did they pull the nosecone off of the bike?
Perhaps something didn't get put back in place correctly, and it's blocking airflow...

Bob, they do have a gasket that could fail.
