Hello,

I have a 2015 RT Limited. It is possible to listen to music from my iPod or phone through my spyder speakers? If so, how do you do it?

Thank you!

if you bought it new there should have been a cable in the back, it worked for my friends phone but I had a I phone so it didn't work. there is a adapter you can buy for it.

Your limited should have come with the 30 pin ipod cable & if you have the apple lighting adapter attached. The cable plugs int to a port I think The RT has one in the trunk :dontknow:
The rest is controlled thru the mode button & radio.

there should also be a cable with a 3.5mm aux headphone jack that will play music but not allow control to skip or search.

listening to Ipod

I have a 2016 RTS that came with a ups connector on the cable in the rear trunk. I have an Ipod Nano so I just use my apple
cable that came with it. Can control it from the mode switch. On my 2011RT I purchased an Apple 30 pin to lightning pin
addapter.

Your bykes are newer than mine, but in the trunk on the left side there I should the traditional cigarette style charging port, on the right there is a different port. Mine came with two cables, one is for Apple and the other is a multi pin connector that can be used on most any other device, Sony, Android, etc.

Then you cycle through the mod button to input for audio to locate the port, and you are good to go.

On my bike, I start it, hit the mode button shows the radio, hit the set button it shows the am band, hit set button it shows the weather station, hit the set again and it will show the IPone or IPod. As long as the phone or ipod is on and hooked up.

Thank you for all the good advice. I have the Ipod Nano 7th generation so I can only get AUX mode.

Does anyone know if a 30 pin adapter to lighting will make it show in iPod mode? Just wondering before I go out and buy one.

Thank you!

Yes it will, as long as it is an Apple adapter or an off brand that will transmit data as well as charge. Most of the off brands will only charge. I use an Apple adapter and it works on my IPhone 6 and IPad.

I gather that you've been plugging into the earbud jack...
Does your RT have a USB connector? If it does: use your Apple cabling that you would use to hook it up to your computer, and plug it in!
If it doesn't: get an Apple adapter, and use that to plug in to BRP's IPod cable.

MP3

I have an MP3 player. I plugged the adapter cable that came with the bike, into the plug in the trunk. Bought me a longer cable to reach the glove box. I bought me a female coupler to connect both cables. I keep my MP3 player in the glove box, as i ride and set the radio to AUX and woohlah music all day long. :ohyea::ohyea::ohyea:

That sounds like a long cable you have

Yes, I was using the earbud jack.

I ordered a Apple adapter online and will try it when it comes in :D:thumbup::joke:
