There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

..hey ron.,
I was wanting to know I have a 2012 RT SM5. and was wanting to know what is the difference in ur links and the ones I have on mine now.and if I did swap them out what would I be able to tell.

Finally, things are coming together and I've got LINKS! (Heim Joint that is).
If you scroll up and down quickly, they appear to move!

You would be replacing the plastic ones with a solid metal ones. Right?

Yes ,I would be replacing I guess they r plastic.have never looked ..but I will Saturday since we have a warm front moving thru.
but I don't have baja runs sway bar on either...just don't know what difference I would feel,steer,or act..Please educate...

My .02 cents worth
The upgraded sway bar is a must, better ride, handling, cornering etc
The links = peace of mind, several folks have had some bad plastic ones break

I've got a 2012 RT..so Is the sway bar heavier steel..what is the difference in sway bars...I'm kinda like I don't understand why I 2012 would need a new sway bar..now links I understand now...

The Ron sway bar is for improved performance.
The links are for preventive maintenance.

I have a 2012 RTL and I had Ron's sway bar put on at the owners event in NC before we went on the Dragon Tail...It makes a difference cornering and also on the highway when a big truck passes you...I did not feel quite as big a difference as when I had the sway bar put on my 2009 GS..I'm guessing my shocks on the RTL are better than the GS...THAT was night and day...

I've got a 2012 RT also. The Ron Bar is the single best modification I have installed. It made my Spyder a totally different machine in regards to handling.
I don't have the links yet because I've been contemplating a 2014. The more I think about, the more I think I'll hang on to the 12 for a few more years. It handles like it's on rails, and haven't had any problems in 7,000 miles.

My sway bars are a larger diameter than stock, plus they are a higher tensile steel. Sway bars are simply springs which are designed to resist side force. The stronger the spring, the more resistance. A Sway Bar does this without making the ride harsher, stiffer, or changing the ride height.
The Spyder does come with a sway bar so you're not adding it, you're replacing it.
If your OEM plastic links are in good condition, you will not notice any difference with my Billet Aluminum links. My links are stronger than the composite plastic links which come on the Spyder.
The OEM links do a good job. They are subject to damage from road debris. Some have failed but this has not been a big problem.
My heavier sway bars do put more stress on the Heim Joint Links. The RT models getting the most added stress.
Bottom line is that my Billet Aluminum links are not a necessary item. But they will hold up better than plastic.
As for the 2014-2014 bars. I am currently working on some upgrades to address some issues that we had with some 2013's. I hope to have these ready to ship by the end of the month.
