• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

limp home mode ?

Coming home Sunday in a hard rain got the orange spyder and abs light with limp home mode scrolling across the screen. Stopped and checked everything out the best I could everything looked ok. As we were still 200 miles from home we kept riding. Limp home mode kept scrolling across the screen but the performance of my 2011 RSS never changed. Bout 100 miles later we ran out of the rain and about 20 min later we stopped for gas, when I restarted that time everything was cleared and didn't come back for the 100 miles home. Thinking maybe water in the relays? Thoughts please

My bike (A 2010 RT at the time) popped some codes during a real "Toad Strangler", in Springfield Mo back in 2013. They seemed to clear up , and I rode the bike home without further incident...
Blame it on the weather!

Agree with Bob. The :spyder2: does not like water. I had similar problems with my 2010 and after much scrutiny, they found a bare wire near the spark plugs. Some scuffing had occurred. Just enough splash of water and the :ani29: would run like crap.

Yep. Has happened to others on more than one occasion. I'd still check all of the fuses and relays. Make sure they're properly seated and no corrosion has appeared on the prongs.

Relax..!!

I call them glitches and in many cases the key walk will clear them up. Sometimes you may find the reason in most cases not. If a code was thrown it will be stored in the computer and the dealer can let you know...glad you made it home safely...

I got caught in a Doozy once

Couldn't stop and had to keep going, all the way.

I decied just to push it and see just how well my Spyder could really perform doing it in a storm. It never waivered, never lost traction, nothing ever changed on the LCD screen.

Well needless to say I was soaked, but the Spyder just shook it off!! And she kept on running.

Exactly what I had expected and hoped for. ;-)

It does not matter how much rain you where in. The Spyder should not have given you any trouble. The Spyder is extremely water resistant. Next time it is in for service. Tell the tech what happened and have the computer hooked up and look for related codes.

:agree:Bombardier makes " personal watercraft " as well . So shouldn't be a design flaw :dontknow: Getting it checked wouldn't hurt
