Lightning over plane

Living in Florida we see a lot of lightning, almost daily. Last night was something truly amazing!! It was thundering and lightning as I was on my way to the Orlando airport to pick up my wife. Looking ahead, I saw a passenger jet approaching the airport when a big bolt of lightning came down just above and in front of the plane. Then suddenly it took a90% turn and went over the top of the plane and down past the end of the plane. :yikes: it is amazing that it missed it completely. I'm sure it so the plane and there were a lot of puckered seats and stained shorts when they got there. No it wasn't the wife's plane. She definitely would have freaked out:yikes::yikes:.

It's too bad that you didn't have a picture of that episode. Perhaps that lightning bolt was just looking over the plane, and making up it's mind? :shocked: :dontknow:

Yes, that would have been a moment I would have liked to have a video camera going. It was freaky to watch from my spot, I can only imagine what it was like in the plane .:yikes:
